POSTER CONTEST RULES
Poster Contest Rules
- Posters must be on standard poster board 14" X 22" in size.
- Format must be horizontal. Materials may be pasted on posters but stand-out objects
are not permitted.
- The information slip attached to the back of each poster needs to be completed and legible.
- Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from each grade/class
at each school. The judges select the 1st and 2nd place trophy winners from the 1st place
ribbon winners. It is these trophy winners that will be recognized at the annual meeting.
- A representative from the Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District will collect
the posters at the principal's office. You should receive the names of the winners by mail or
fax within a couple days of the judging.
- The Annual Meeting will be a catered dinner with everything furnished by the Soil and Water
Conservation District. You are all invited.
The Posters are evaluated on the following criteria:
CONSERVATION MESSAGE – 50%
VISUAL EFFECTIVENESS – 30%
ORIGINALITY – 10%
UNIVERSAL APPEAL – 10%
